The rise of digital technologies, combined with weakening traditional support systems, has created new parenting challenges. Children are exposed to harmful online content, while cases of child abuse and neglect remain prevalent. Many parents, teachers, and community leaders lack the knowledge to balance cultural values, digital exposure, and child protection. Consequently, children face risks that hinder their healthy growth, welfare, and overall development.
The primary goal of parenting is to ensure child welfare and to transfer positive cultural values, norms, and morals that shape society. This program also emphasizes identifying best practices and mechanisms that promote child development and prevent violence against children. The training aims to strengthen the capacity of Social Workers, Community Development Officers, Education Officers, Teachers, and Child Care Centre Officers/Managers in applying effective parenting practices and understanding legal frameworks for child protection within the era of changing technology
