A computer application training refers to the instruction which teaches users how to use application software effectively example specialized application software like Microsoft Office Package, design tools Software, which are designed to perform specific tasks and basic computing skills like file creation, file managements, typing, Digital presentation, Office machine, email and internet applications skills.

Description of Computer Application

A computer application is a software program designed to perform specific tasks for a user. It allows people to use a computer to do various activities such as writing documents, browsing the internet, creating presentations, managing data, or communicating with others.

Computer applications provide a user-friendly interface that makes it easy for individuals to interact with the computer hardware, software and complete their work efficiently. These applications can be installed on computers, accessed online through web browsers, or downloaded on mobile devices.

Computer applications interact with peripherals (such as printers, scanners, and photocopy machines) to help users perform tasks that involve input, output, or duplication of information. These devices rely on applications to send, receive, interpret, and process data.

Objectives of Computer Applications

·       To enable efficient task performance Computer applications are designed to help user’s complete tasks such as writing, calculating, designing, and communicating more quickly and accurately.

·       To support business operations and decision-making Specialized applications analyse data, generate reports, and assist in strategic planning and automation.

 

Target Group

Target Groups for Computer Application, covering primary schools, secondary schools (Form IV, Form VI), and various professions such as accountants, Teachers and engineers. Computer applications are designed for different groups of people depending on their learning level, professional needs, and the tasks they want to perform.

Course Content.

·       Introduction to computer hardware and software

·       Microsoft package: Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, Microsoft power point and Microsoft publisher

·       Internet and email

·       How to use Printer, scanner & photocopy machine and basic error troubleshooting skills

·       Introduction of artificial intelligence (AI)

·       Computer protection

·       After learning Computer Applications a learner should be able to:
