The Department of Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST), invites applications for a ten-day practical short/professional course on Installation and Maintenance of Solar PV Electric Systems. The course equips participants with practical skills in understanding, designing, installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing Solar PV electric systems, including solar water pumping, solar water heating, and MPPT systems.

Description of the Short/Professional Course |
This hands-on short course
provides a practical introduction to Solar PV electric systems, equipping
participants with essential skills to understand system components, design
and install Solar PV systems, install solar water pumping and heating
systems, design and develop MPPT systems, perform testing, identify faults,
and carry out maintenance and repair, with emphasis on safety and reliable
system operation. |

Expected Learning Outcomes |
Upon completion of this course,
the participants should be able to: Ø Explain
the basic operation and major components of Solar PV systems. Ø Design
and install Solar PV systems for different applications. Ø Design
and install solar water pumping and solar water heating systems. Ø Understand
the principles of MPPT and apply them in Solar PV system design. Ø Perform
testing, identify faults, and carry out basic maintenance and repair of Solar
PV systems. |

Tuition fee: TZS 1,000,000/= Tuition fee for Current Must
students: TZS 500,000/= The course fee will cater for
tuition fee, course materials, certificate, software, and other consumables. Payment should be made through the official payment control number
