Training/Event Description

On behalf of the Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST), through the College of Information and Communication Technology (CoICT), Department of Information Systems and Technology, we are pleased to invite ICT staff from your esteemed organisation to attend a seminar titled “Enhancing ICT Technical Skills for Reliable and Secure ICT Infrastructure.”

The seminar will be conducted through an Applied Cybersecurity and Network Systems Administration Short Course.

In the current digital landscape, organisations increasingly depend on robust, reliable, and secure ICT infrastructures to support their operations. At the same time, the growing sophistication of cyber threats and system vulnerabilities demands that ICT personnel continuously enhance their technical skills. This seminar is therefore designed to strengthen the practical competencies of ICT staff in building, managing, and securing organisational ICT infrastructure.

The seminar will provide participants with hands-on skills and knowledge in:

Designing and implementing reliable and secure network infrastructures

Deploying effective security controls and mitigation mechanisms

Identifying system vulnerabilities and understanding common cyber-attack techniques

Applying best practices in system and network administration

Strengthening incident response capabilities and operational continuity

Enhancing organisational preparedness against modern ICT security threats

By the end of the seminar, participants will have acquired practical, job-ready skills that can be immediately applied to improve the reliability, security, and resilience of their organisation’s ICT infrastructure.

We strongly believe that nominating your ICT staff to attend this seminar is a strategic investment toward protecting digital assets, reducing operational risks, and ensuring compliance with evolving ICT and cybersecurity standards.
