MUST ENGINEERING CONFERENCE

INTRODUCTION

Following the resounding success of the inaugural 2024 conference, Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) is pleased to announce the 2nd MUST Engineering Conference (MED 2026). This event will build on the momentum of fostering institutional collaborations, technological advancement, and alumni engagement to drive Tanzania's sustainable industrialization agenda. The conference will provide a dynamic platform for engineers, technologists, academia, industry leaders, and policymakers to share cutting-edge research, innovations, and strategies for addressing contemporary engineering challenges.

THEME & SUB-THEMES

Main Theme: "Strengthening Engineering Collaborations and Embracing Technological Innovations for Sustainable Development"

Sub-Themes:

i). Sustainable engineering solutions using local content, indigenous resources, and appropriate technologies
ii). Climate-resilient infrastructure, mining, and environmental engineering innovations for sustainable development
iii). Clean, renewable, and efficient energy systems, electrical power technologies, and resource-based energy solutions
iv). Advanced mechanical, electrical, civil, mining, and electromechanical systems, manufacturing technologies, and automation
v). Integrated engineering approaches, geoscience applications, policy frameworks, and capacity building for sustainable development
vi). Ethical engineering practices and professional development in a digital era
vii). Enhancing alumni engagement for institutional growth and mentorship

ACCREDITATION

13 Professional Development Units (PDUs) will be awarded to all Professional Engineers who will
attend.

PARTICIPATION FEE

Participation in the meeting is subject to a registration fee of TZS 300,000 per participant.
